a part of the community of Kokkola, and the community of Kokkola has been a part of GBK. The club has relied on the help of the community to grow our junior players into young adults who can represent GBK at a senior level, and in the best cases at the highest levels the sport can offer.

There are many people and companies in the community who have supported GBK for many years. There support has allowed GBK to be the only club in Kokkola to have both a senior Womens and senior Mens team, along with a girls and boys junior section. Every year GBK continues to search for opportunities to connect with more people and companies to continue to grow the club. This year for example, GBK connected with a small business called Sigrids. Sigrids is a restaurant located in downtown Kokkola. We asked Sigrids if they would like to make a partnership to help support the club. Being a new business, Sigrids wanted to support both a local team, and the sport of football.

Jag fick förfrågan av GBK om möjligheten att vara med och sponsorera årets säsong. Som gammal GBK:are och fotbollsfan var det svårt att säga nej, men som för de flesta småföretagare finns det tyvärr inte pengar i överflöd. Jag började fundera över våra möjligheter att stöda varandra, hur skall vi kunna vara till nytta för varandra?

Mat var det, de flesta människor äter andra för njutning andra bara för att överleva. GBK körde en kickoff för fotbollssäsongen 2019 på vår restaurang och med säsongskortet har vi erbjudit en rabatt på lunchen. På kickoffen var spelare från både dam och herr representationslagen med och serverade. Vi hade en trevlig kväll med bla fotbolls quiz och vi fick höra spelare berätta om sina karriärer. Kvällen var väldigt lyckad och vi kommer definitivt att ordna en kickoff igen nästa år.

Thanks to all the companies and people who have supported GBK and continue to support the club. Your support allows many kids the chance to play a sport they love, challenge themselves, and have fun. Thank you for that!
